Go-to-market recruiting across the US.
TRG GTM is a specialist go-to-market recruiting firm in the US: we hire sales, marketing, customer success and revenue operations talent for software and technology companies, from SDRs and Account Executives to CROs and CMOs, from our San Jose base and nationwide.
We work with venture-backed startups in Silicon Valley and beyond, growth-stage software companies across the US, and UK and European companies building their first North American teams.
Why a specialist GTM recruiter
The US is the world’s largest market for software and for go-to-market talent. Silicon Valley and the wider San Francisco Bay Area remain the center of the industry, with San Jose at the heart of enterprise software, infrastructure, security and AI. New York, Boston, Austin, Seattle, Denver, Chicago and Atlanta all have deep SaaS sales and marketing talent pools, and remote GTM roles are common nationwide.
We recruit for every part of the revenue team. Each of our recruiters focuses on one area (sales, marketing, or customer and RevOps), so the person you brief understands the role, the metrics it is measured on and where the best people are working today.

Where US go-to-market teams are based
Remote GTM roles are common, but the strongest talent pools still cluster in a handful of metros.
San Jose and the San Francisco Bay Area
Our US base. Silicon Valley and San Francisco host the headquarters of many of the world’s largest software, infrastructure, security and AI companies, and the deepest pools of enterprise sellers, sales engineers, product marketers and GTM leaders.
New York and the Northeast
A major hub for fintech, martech, adtech and enterprise SaaS sales, with large mid-market and enterprise sales teams, plus Boston’s strong cluster in cybersecurity, health tech and B2B software.
Austin and Texas
One of the fastest-growing tech metros, home to large SaaS sales and customer success hubs, with Dallas and Houston adding enterprise and industry-focused teams.
Seattle and the Pacific Northwest
Centered on cloud, with deep pools of alliance, marketplace and solutions architecture talent close to the major cloud providers.
Denver, Salt Lake City and the Mountain West
Popular locations for SDR and customer success hubs, with strong sales cultures and growing GTM leadership talent.
Chicago, Atlanta and Washington DC
Chicago and Atlanta host large enterprise and mid-market sales teams; the DC area is the center for federal and public sector software sales.
What’s shaping US GTM hiring in 2026
The themes we hear most often from US hiring managers and candidates.
Efficient growth
Investors and boards want growth with discipline. Companies are hiring fewer, more experienced reps, investing in front-line managers and RevOps, and scrutinizing ramp time, attainment and CAC payback.
AI-native buyers and products
AI is reshaping both what companies sell and how they sell it. Sellers, sales engineers and product marketers who can position AI credibly, and who use AI tools well themselves, are in high demand.
Net revenue retention
Expansion revenue is a core growth lever, so customer success, account management and renewal roles carry more commercial targets than before.
Immigration costs and constraints
A $100,000 fee on many new H-1B petitions, extended through September 2027, has made sponsored hiring more expensive, so most US GTM roles are filled from the domestic talent pool.
How we recruit in the US
The same four steps for every search, whatever the level.
Discovery
A 30-minute call to pin down the role, the number and the team it joins.
Prospecting
We map the US market and approach the people who are not looking.
Shortlist
Three to five assessed candidates, with notes on every one.
Closed-won
We manage offers, equity questions, start dates and the first 90 days.
Hiring between the US and the UK
Many US software companies are building UK and EMEA teams, and many UK and European companies are expanding into the US. We recruit on both sides from San Jose and London, so you can brief one partner for both markets. Titles and compensation structures differ: US roles are usually leveled and quoted as base plus OTE with equity, while UK roles often have shorter equity histories and longer notice periods.
Work authorization is the first question in any cross-border hire. We raise it at the brief, and we are upfront with candidates about whether a role offers sponsorship.
US: L-1, H-1B, E-2 and O-1
L-1 visas cover transfers within the same company group; H-1B covers specialty occupations, is capped annually and, for many new petitions filed for people outside the US, carries a $100,000 fee under a proclamation extended through September 21, 2027; E-2 covers treaty investors and their essential employees, and the UK is a treaty country; O-1 covers people with extraordinary ability.
UK: Skilled Worker visa
The main route for sponsored hires into UK roles. For certificates of sponsorship issued from July 22, 2025, most roles must be at degree level (RQF 6) and the general salary threshold is £41,700, with some exceptions. See our UK page for more.
This is general information, not legal advice. Immigration rules change often: check the official guidance and speak to a qualified immigration attorney before making an offer.

We typically present a shortlist within one to two weeks for individual contributor roles. Most hires complete in four to eight weeks from brief to accepted offer; US notice periods are usually two weeks, so start dates follow quickly.
Some do, but sponsorship has become more expensive, including a $100,000 fee for many new H-1B petitions. Most of the US roles we fill are for candidates who already have work authorization, and we are clear about sponsorship from the start.
